This glue, known as Clear Gorilla Glue, delivers the same strength and versatility that customers have come to expect from the Gorilla brand, but in a non-foaming, water-resistant formula.
Clear Gorilla Glue is ideal for both indoor and outdoor applications, as it bonds virtually every material, including wood, stone, metal, ceramic, foam, and glass. Its extended working time allows users to reposition their projects, and its gap-filling capabilities enable the gluing of uneven surfaces.
While Clear Gorilla Glue is water-resistant and can withstand intermittent exposures, it is not meant for constant submersion. For applications requiring complete waterproofing, the original or white Gorilla Glue formulas are recommended, as they are 100% waterproof and can withstand soaking and long-term water exposure, provided the materials being joined are not significantly affected by water.
To use Clear Gorilla Glue effectively, the surfaces must be clean and tight-fitting. For non-porous surfaces, such as metal, glass, and plastics, the surface should be lightly dampened with water before applying the glue. It is important to note that the glue can stain clothes, so caution is advised.
The application process is straightforward: 1. Damp the surface (for non-porous surfaces only). 2. Apply the Clear Gorilla Glue to the surface, preferably at room temperature. 3. Clamp the objects together for 2 hours, and allow the glue to fully cure within 24 hours. Heavy objects can be used to achieve the necessary clamping pressure.
It is important to note that Clear Gorilla Glue is not recommended for use on polyethylene or polypropylene plastics.
After each use, users should wipe the nozzle clean with a dry cloth and tightly replace the lid. The glue should be stored in a cool, dry place, away from exposure to light, as lack of light and heat can cause the product to yellow. Cured glue can be removed from the work surface using a chisel, scraper, or sandpaper.
As with any adhesive, Clear Gorilla Glue should be stored away from children and animals.
